Assistant Purchaser

Oversee and maintain the product inventory within the food pars. Process all orders with vendors, receives product inventory and maintain cost of sales information. Strong data entry and purchasing experience a must.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess a valid state/provincial driver's license.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
• Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
• Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.

Responsibilities

• Completes paperwork for receiving; keys data on items received into the computer accounting system; keys data on items delivered to the food locations in the computer accounting system.
• Verifies receipts of items using the purchase order and notifies food & beverage managers of any discrepancies. Verifies all received items are recognized in the computer

Other duties may be assigned including:

• Maintains weekly inventory and rotation of stock. Identifies efficient storage methods; prepares for and completes inventories of the warehouse and food locations.
• Operates pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment; loads and unloads stock from trucks with forklifts and dollies.
• Pulls supplies to fill incoming orders and verifies freshness before delivering to locations; delivers items to locations in park; counts and documents food and small-wares received.

• Ensures all safety equipment is being used properly.
• Provides guest service according to Sailfish Club standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Sailfish Club Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
• Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
• Meets Sailfish Club's attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies.
• Adheres to Sailfish Club's Rules of conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.
